PINTU Ke Mana Saja 3-1 Kribo
(Hans, OG, Hans)

PINTU Ke Mana Saja faced Kribo from NUS in the quarterfinal, after topping the group stage. They started the game brightly, controlling most of the ball, and Hans had two great shots on goal, although the opposition keeper was there to make the necessary saves to prevent the goal. However, on the third chance, Hans made no mistake to beat the goalkeeper as he got a nice pass from Reza "Icop" from the left side. Reza "Icop" was again the main actor for the second goal, with his lob kick in forced the keeper to touch the ball without saving it, and giving the second goal for the PINTU Ke Mana Saja. That goal made PINTU Ke Mana Saja with the wind and continued to dominate the game with some simple passing game shown. Hans made his second goal in this match, widen the lead to 3-0.

Reza "Icop" almost made it four nil but he somehow failed to put the ball into the net after some tidy teamwork shown by PINTU Ke Mana Saja. Andhita made some attemps on goal which unfortunately not leading to a goal.

Kribo managed to grab a consolation goal, after Eugene parried a shot inside the area, but the rebound ball was taken well by one of Kribo player, 3-1.

PINTU Surga vs Ole 0-4

PINTU Surga was eliminated from this competition with a heavy 0-4 defeat. Missing Malindo on the backline, PINTU Surga were unable to score any goal, but they could've scored twice. Raymond came twice scoring, with one of his long shot was parried by the kepeer, and the other one was saved by the post.

SEMIFINAL

PINTU Ke Mana Saja 4 That 0
(Hans 2x, Kennardi, Virvandy)

PINTU Ke Mana Saja met That on the semifinal, and PINTU Ke Mana Saja comfortably beat That 4-0 to secure one place in the final of HOA 2012.

On-form Hans Saleh once again opened the score for PINTU Ke Mana Saja. Reza "Icop" sent a nice through pass to Hans, and he placed it to the right corner of the goal, leaving the opposition keeper hopeless to prevent the goal. Hans added the second goal moments after that with similar circumstances, receiving the assist from Reza "Icop", followed by composed finishing.

That constantly pumped the ball directly to the striker, but Alvin Kennardi dealt with it well, not giving them too much space for creativity. They had one great chances, but Eugene was there to made a slight but important touch to deny the goal.

Alvin Kennardi, who played deeper than others as last man, scored his second goal of the competition. He tenaciously skipped pass the defender, and  followed by a nice finish to the bottom corner of the goal, 3-0. Virvandy added the fourth goal, later. He showed his magnificent driblling, ended by a great finish, leaving the keeper rooted on the spot, 4-0. Alvin Tandias could've easily added the fifth on a blitz counter attack, but his shot blazed over the bar.

FINAL

PINTU Ke Mana Saja 4 Joystick 0
(Hans 3x Andhita)

The final should've been tight, but not on this occasion. PINTU Ke Mana Saja controlled the game from the beginning and ended the game with 4-0 victory on a dominant display on the final.

PINTU Ke Mana Saja took the iniciative to attack from the beginning, and had some shots wide. For the fifth consecutive times, it was Hans Saleh who scored the first goal for PINTU Ke Mana Saja. He got the ball in the midfield, turned to evade the marking defender, dribbled to the right, and strucked the ball to the middle of the net, and the opposition keeper couldn't do anything much to prevent that goal. 1-0.

The first goal made PINTU Ke Mana Saja controlled the game more. With one-touch pass, they were able to create a lot of chances. The second goal came after Hans received the ball from Reza "Icop" from the left flank, and without hesitation unleashed a long pellidriver to double the lead, 2-0. Hans completed his hattrick few moments later. Andhita released a shot, which was saved by the keeper, but Hans was there to take the rebound, 3-0. Andhita got his name on the scoresheet after a simple tap-in from Reza's pass to the empty net.

Joystick got great chance to grab one goal back from a indirect freekick. Alvin Kennardi were forced to head the ball backward, and Eugene was there to catch it. But the referee gave the indirect freekick, judging that action to be a backpass, despite unintentional. However, Reza "Icop" made an important block to keep a clean sheet.

Gihon nearly made the fifth goal after his combination with Virvandy leaving Gihon in good position to release a shot, but the keeper managed to tip it wide and it hit the crossbar, before the keeper held the ball safely.

Welcome to PINTU FC Blog

This blog was made for PINTU FC for regular updates for competitions PINTU FC will take part in, the schedules ahead, and the result the team has played, plus some additional information. Enjoy!

PINTU FC stroll to 6-1 victory against Shelton

PINTU FC ended their journey in Olymppic by beating Shelton 6-1 in a one sided match. Despite the result, they failed to qualify to next round as InSIM winning their third match, just before PINTU FC played.

PINTU FC - without Captain Ericko, Hans Saleh, and Alvin Tandias - fielded a much different line up from last match. PINTU FC started the match with Eugene between the post, Raymond, Alvin Kennardi, Novandi, and Virvandi on the field.

PINTU FC played slightly different with last time, as they appeared to implemented 1-2-1 formation. Even though they didn't have flying start of the match, making some of misplaced passes, they did have some chances but no one really threaten Shelton's goal. Shelton had one opportunity as Eugene spilled the ball from a long shot, but it just went to corner kick.

PINTU FC broke the duck when Reza Raditya stole the ball in the middle of the park, then brought it until one-on-one with the keeper, and placed it to the bottom corner of the goal. 1-0 for PINTU FC. He was delighted to score his goal. Not long after that, Reza doubled the lead, making the scoreline 2-0. Once again, Reza showed his nose in front of goal, and completed his hattrick after a clinical simple finish in front of goal from a well-taken set piece. First half ended with PINTU FC leading three goals by nil.

After the break, PINTU FC dominated the game more and they created a lot of chances. Virvandy was free when receiving a pass but somehow he slammed the ball wide of the post. Shelton had one chance from a shot forcing Eugene to tipped the ball out. Virvandy scored his first goal for PINTU FC in this Olymppic, hitting the ball nicely into the net. 4-0. Just shortly after that, Virvandy slotted his second goal of the match and the fifth goal for PINTU FC, 5-0.

PINTU FC keep rolling the substitution, as they played all the available players on the pitch, and they keep attacking Shelton on many occasions. However, they conceded once as Alvin Kennardi lost the ball in the central line, giving Shelton an easy one-on-one situation, and their player didn’t made a mistake, putting the ball to the bottom left of the goal, and pulled one goal back, 5-1. Alvin Kennardi paid the mistake he had done by scoring a goal from a corner, 6-1.

PINTU FC had many chances nearing the end of the game, as Shelton FC looked ran out of stamina and didn’t give much pressure as they used to be. They could’ve added more goals, but the luck wasn’t on their side. Vincent Forest had his shot denied by the goal frame three times, as he made the last appearance for PINTU FC. The scoreline remained 6-1 until the referee blows the full whistle.

No celebrations was shown by PINTU FC as this victory didn’t bring them anywhere further. They might have won this game, but not the group nor the competition.

PINTU FC fail to make the possession pay

PINTU FC succumbed to a 0-1 defeat against inSIM on the second game. This results put them in a verge of not qualifying to the next round.

PINTU FC, who fielded the same player again, started the game brightly, creating couple of nice chances, and could have scored goal in the opening minutes. However, it was InSIM who scored a goal. A long shot, imperfectly dealt by Ericko, and got inside the net. PINTU tried to search for equalizer, but the slippery field made it difficult for PINTU FC to play their usual game. Despite holding the ball for majority of the game, they struggled to create chances. InSIM got one excellent chance one on one with Ericko, but the keeper made no mistake, superbly blocked the ball, and kept PINTU FC in game. First half ended 1-0 for InSIM's lead.

Second half was not really different from the first half, with PINTU FC keep playing the ball, without being able to finding a real chance. The introduction of Novandi on the second half didn't change the game a lot. Still no real chance. The majority of shots taken were from long range, and unfortunately no shots were really threatening the goal. Until the final whistle is blown, PINTU FC failed to find the equalizer.

This result puts PINTU FC on the third place of the group, with the same point of Shelton but losing on goal difference. InSIM was on first place with six points from two games. PINTU FC will face Shelton next week, and they have to win big and need InSIM to lose to PSB so that they could qualify to the semifinal.

PINTU FC started the campaign with 2-1 victory over PSB

PINTU FC began their campaign defending the Olymppic title by beating PSB 2-1, in a cloudy afternoon, in Catsworth International School. PINTU FC started the match with Captain Ericko between the post; Hans and Alvin Kennardi on the backline, Vifo in the central of the park, and Andhita on the striker position.

PINTU FC, despite being rather sloppy on possession, started the match brightly, and creating couple of chances. Hans' shot just hit the right side of the post, while Vifo's effort just saved by the keeper.

PINTU FC finally took a lead when Andhita's kick-in smashed to the goal by Hans Saleh. 1-0 for PINTU FC. PSB got one chance, with a long shot got blocked by Ericko's feet, giving PSB a corner kick. PINTU FC could easily double their lead, but Andhita's nod from near post just wide from the target. First half ended with PINTU FC's lead, 1-0

(photos from PPI Singapura facebook)

In the second half, PINTU FC introduced Icop replacing Andhita and Novandi replacing Vifo. Their introduction brought a positive side on the attacking department, with Novandi and Icop seems to have a good understanding upfront. In addition, Icop's trickery seems hardly dealt by PSB's defenders. One of the defenders even was yellow carded because of trying to stop him. Icop also got great chances, but somehow the opposition's keeper was on the right place when dealing one on one against Icop. However, Reza Raditya finally beaten the goalkeeper from a shot outside penalty area. Receiving the ball on the left side of the PSB's defence, he smashed the ball to the bottom corner of the goal. 2-0 for PINTU FC.

Losing two goals, PSB tried to take control of the game. PSB got a goal nearing the end of the game. 2-1. PSB pushed forward searching for the equalizer, and they had another chance, but Ericko saved it. PINTU FC stood still defending their lead until the end of the game. The final score, 2-1 for PINTU FC.

It was not the best performance produced by PINTU FC but it was an important win to start the competition.
