It was a tough day for PINTU FC as they faced PINUS, INSIM, and MAPIA on Premier Pitch Khalsa on the second gameweek, but PINTU FC managed to grab four points from today's game from a win against PINUS and a draw against MAPIA. This result brought PINTU FC to third place in the final standing of Liga PPIS 2014 with 10 points from total 6 games played, a steady improvement from last year's result
PINTU FC vs PINUS 2-1 (HT 1-0)
PINTU FC recorded a hard fought win against PINUS in a fairly interesting game. The first half was a quite even game as both teams played with an offensive desire. Andhita almost opened the score when his placing shot to bottom corner denied by Deiver, PINUS Keeper. It was PINTU to break the deadlock when Andhita took a smart kick in to send the ball to Billy Sebastian, who made no mistake to beat the keeper, 1-0. No more goals were scored in the first half though both teams exchanging attacks for the final few minutes.
Second half just started few minutes and PINUS equalized though a unfortunate deflection by Mario Sandi, 1-1. Shocked by this goal, PINTU FC increased the intensity of the game and almost made an instant reply as Christiandy faced a 1v1 situation but denied by the keeper. Irvan Indra finally brought PINTU FC to a win when he sneaked past the defender to receive an excellent corner, 2-1. PINUS pushed for equalizer in the dying minutes of the game but failed to threaten Jose's goal and PINTU FC got away with a win.
PINTU FC vs INSIM 1-4 (HT 0-2)
It was a harsh scoreline despite encouraging display shown by PINTU FC against the defending champions, as they conceded four goals to one in the 5th game of the League. PINTU FC actually got a bright start as Reinardus Channing released Yonathan Eldrian who released a wicked shot only to be denied by the post on the first minute. However, PINTU FC conceded from Adrian midway through first half as he sent the ball to bottom corner, 0-1. They conceded another goal after a scramble on the defence area was fully capitalized by the opposition, 0-2
On the second half, Reinardus Channing pulled one back as he smashed the ball to the goal to make it 1-2. After that goal, PINTU FC got the momentum to find the goal and threaten INSIM few times before the time out. Despite pushing for equalizer, it was INSIM who scored the next goal as Kevin E unleashed a thunderous drive past Eugene from a freekick, 1-3. INSIM put the game over as Adrian scored another goal from smart finish, 1-4. A tough defeat to swallow for PINTU FC, but in this match, the winner is the one who was more clinical in front of goal.
PINTU FC vs MAPIA 3-3 (HT 2-0)
PINTU FC locked the 3rd place as they are held 3-3 by MAPIA in a highly entertaining match. The match was started with a high tempo and PINTU FC nearly conceded had Alvin not made a superb last ditch tackle to deny a two-against-one situation. PINTU FC tried to take control of the game and they got the first goal through Billy Sebastian, who dashed to the left side and put a simple finish past the keeper to make it 1-0. Andhita Dananjaya doubled the lead through a similar situation of the first goal just before the break to make it 2-0.
After the break, PINTU FC was shocked by two successive goals in the midway of the second half. Jose was beaten from a rocket shot to the roof of the goal for the first goal, before he was unable to handled the ball well from a indirect freekick and deflected the ball to his own net. The scoreline went level to 2-2 and the game got more intense. PINTU FC retook the lead through Reinardus Channing who got a nice through pass and beat the keeper by a smart finish to the bottom corner, 3-2. However, in the latter stages of the game, PINTU FC conceded a penalty after a team foul. Eugene, who came in after MAPIA's equalizer, was not able to keep the penalty out and the match ended in 3-3 draw.
